About My Continuation

21 Months ago I started a journey of sorts.   I started a Disciple ship program at my church.   Part of the journey was  to blog my way through the class, and put my thoughts on the blog about what I was learning and and how my faith grew.  http://faith35.blogspot.com/

Faith35 made it to 36, then 36 had a baby.   Well that changes things a lot and the blog was not updated as much.  This was a post from a month or so ago.  that explains the drop of posts.  http://faith35.blogspot.com/2008/03/god-works.html

Well this blog will be a continuation.

My goal, pour out what I have learned into the hearts of my family.  They deserve nothing less than everything I can teach them about the love of Christ.

Also over the next year or so, I will be working with a good friend on a book.  You can read about it here.  http://philter48.wordpress.com/

Also, there is the potential for me to jump back into the Discipleship program at church as a leader.

I never thought I would be this in love with my savior as I am now.   There is no turning back for me.

My continuation moves forward toward the God of my life.

Onward and upward, In Him who is the Christ.  Jesus.

  1. Thanks for posting the song Nothing(Without You). The the music has a blues, honky tonk, feel to it, two of my favorite genres. Derek Web’s vocal style reminds me of Bob Dylan.

I also enjoyed the other song, Johnny Cash’s “We’ll Never Grow Old”. Cash’s album “American IV: The Man Comes Around” is one of my favorites.

Cash’s version of the Trent Reznor song “Hurt” is perhaps the best anti-drug song I have heard.

  2. You need to check out Johny Cash, My Mother Hymn Book… Talk about powerful.

  3. Hey Ck, I’ve been enjoying your comments over on inprogress and inworship. Maybe some other blogs too… can’t remember the local but I like to take time to read your thoughts. I love Derek Webb too. He’s a poet’s poet kind of musician.

  4. Thanks for reading Ric… I am adding your blog to the RSS feeds as we speak.

  6. Thanks for the blog! Congratulations on your “yes” to discipleship and your growing family. Blessings on you, your family and the journey.

  7. I never thought I’d be as in love with Jesus as I am now too! If you have time, I invite you to read one of my blog pages: “Testimony” or “My Story” (the longer version) on http://capturedbyGod.wordpress.com. It has been nice to meet you through Munara. I still can’t get over the way God works, through people who are against Christianity! Isn’t God great?!

  8. Glad to see you are continuing the incredible journey which is before you. There is plenty to learn while we walk with the Master, and we all need to not only become disciples, but also teach others, as you have already noted.
