The things we don’t know…

The Blogged Bible Study has been more than I prayed for.

Each person has and does hold a place in my heart.  I have learned to love people that I only know through their fingers typing on a keyboard.  I have not heard any of their voices (Except Nor and Michelle via video), but I know all of them.

Much like we the only written knowledge we have have of Christ is written in the bible.  None of us have heard His voice,  we all love Him, he is Lord of hearts,  and we will know His voice when he calls us.

There are things we don’t know though that were never recorded, or meant to be revealed to us by God.

How many more people did he heal?

How many more lepers did he touch?

How many lessons did he teach that were not recorded?

How many people saw his face?

How many times did he laugh and cry?

How many times did he find a need a fill it?

John 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Pure speculation here:  I just wonder if John wrote this as a way of telling us Jesus’ work was not done among his children, those he was given.

  1. I am the same about knowing you although I haven’t heard you yet..and I am sure I will know Jesus voice..I’m a sheep..baaaa baaaa.

My speculation is also the same..I am sure HE was JESUS 24/7 not ever leaving the image we are given in the Bible, In the beginning of Acts there are many more followers who were waiting the Holy Spirit, all did not stay and wait..but I have wondered about them..the multitude..wonder how many times there was a multitude..nevertheless, it is more than we could comprehend, and more books than would fill the world! Thanks for this opportunity to study as a group. Look forward to more studying! love ya bro!

  2. Isn’t it remarkable that we can know one another and feel this love for each other, yet have never really met in “real-life?”

And the same is true for Jesus. Just like y’all have found a place in my heart, He has truly taken up residence there. And when we meet face-to-face it will be better than we could have ever imagined.

All those things we truly don’t know about…and then He’ll share them with us…but it might take an eternity to hear every story. How cool is that?

Thanks so much, Carl, for starting this study. For bringing us all together over the most important part of us…our faith…let’s continue…whatdoyousay?

  3. Well said, Carl.
