Friday Verses – #13

Every Friday Saturday I am going to go back to my weekly reading and post the verses that stood out to me.   The kicker is I will offer no explanation as to why they stood out, I will just post the verses.  They will speak for themselves.

This week I am traveling to a Men’s retreat.  I asked Darla to help me out and put together some verses for today.  THANKS DARLA.

Isaiah 65:24

“it will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are sleeping, I will hear.”

Daniel 2:22

“it is HE who reveals the profound and hidden things; HE knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with HIM.”

Matthew 10:30

“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”

Romans 11:33-34

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are HIS judgements and unfathomable HIS ways!  For who has known the mind of the LORD, or who became HIS counselor?

Colossians 2:2-3

“..that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Hebrews 4:13

“And there is no creature hidden from HIS sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of HIM with whom we have to do.”

  1. I like this idea… Daniel 2:22 – I haven’t read Daniel very much – makes me want to dive into it further…

  2. Michael- Daniel is a very good study, not a quick study but incredible! The Prophesy that is already fulfilled, and to come. I loved it and spent a year on it…but I may have lingered there a bit. ;) I walked away from Daniel changed.

  3. Love seeing all these verses about wisdom and knowledge being contained in Him.

We think we’re so wise and yet we won’t turn to the Word for understanding. I don’t get that. It reeks of pride.

He is good to give us a glimpse of His ways. Can you imagine how much more there is to learn? I think we’ll be learning for eternity.

    Thanks, Darla!

  4. God’s sovereignty … just sets your heart at peace, doesn’t it? And … the first reference … isn’t it “while they are still speaking, I heard?” Good verses.
