A triumphant entry… John 12

John 12:12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem.

“He is coming… Come.. Hurry Hurry… Christ.. The Messiah is here.”

“Didn’t you hear me come on.  Run.. Come on keep up, we are going to miss him. “

wsanna!!!! wsanna!!!!

“Did you hear that?  they are shouting praise and prayers to him.”

“Come on…This may be our only chance to meet him.  Don’t you remember what we learned in the Synagogue.”

John 12:13They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,
“Hosanna![a]
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”[b]
“Blessed is the King of Israel!”

“Grab your palm branches we can waive them as we rejoice.”

“wsanna!! “eulogeo”

“There it is again praises and blessings are being called out for him.”

“Come on so we can see him………….”

John 12:14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat upon it, as it is written,

Zech 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey

wsanna and eulogeo, two words that evoke praise, and ask God for blessing.

How excited are you about being saved by Christ.  When you think about it can you just break out in song and praise? Are you like me?  I will latch onto a song or scripture and use it throughout the day to praise him in my heart with song and scripture.  So as the king enters your heart in triumph, shout “wsanna, and eulogeo”  “Hosanna… Blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord. “

  1. Yes yes yes!! I love to hold a scripture close to my heart and sing and talk to my King all day!

Loved this…i love making it more real and remembering that these are people living and breathing..excitement,..and wanting just a glimpse of HIM..and we have HIM 24/7 we should be jumping up and down over HIM :)

  2. :) Loved the picture, Carl. And yes … songs are throughout my heart every day. God uses them to minister to me. “He surrounds me with songs of deliverance.” Did you know that was in the Bible? I started standing on that in my teen years … and God is always faithful. In moments when I feel weak and overcome … a song starts welling up in my heart. If I am faithful to worship and let it flow out … deliverance comes. :)

The triumphal entry … what a moment to behold.

  3. thinking this morning…I can’t wait to see the next truimphal entry!!! so exciting!! and I do have a new song this morning on my heart..love ya bro, and peace and blessings on ya!

  5. Nice bro. Love the creativity you used with this post.

  6. I sit in the swing in the backyard where it’s quiet and I can feel the breeze and watch the birds and see the clouds float by…that does it for me! The song just rises. It’s wonderful. As I pray during the day, a song will rise, a verse will come. It’s amazing. I love it.

He’s so good to us. Thanks, Carl.

Hey, remember I’m Friday now? Hope that’s still OK cause I’m NOT ready for tomorrow.

  7. All.. Thanks for the comments and support.. Time has been short lately for me with work and stuff at home.

One of my favorite things to do to help me understand Jesus’ ministry is to put myself in the shoes of the people surrounding him. To see him through their eyes.

This post was fun to write cause it just kind of rolled out.

Michelle.. Yep I am still good with Friday. I will update the rotation later tonight.

  8. A family that stays together is the one that prays and plays together… is that how it goes? I think so….

  9.

  10. Watched some news today..usually very depressing..but today … excitement..HE is coming…I just know with every bad report of the condition of the world…we are closer to HIM coming!
